We are so pleased to be able to offer a fabulous selection of the dressage range from Hilary Vernon. Already used by our top riders, the bits are now available on line, and at shows from Morgan Equine.

We have selected a small range of bits that are BD legal, they are designed to fit comfortably in the mouth & give balanced, symetrical aids. They are made of stainless steel, for it's strength, superb finished, hypo-alergenic qualities and resistance to teeth!.

Weymouths

We are offering three Weymouths, they come with FEI & BD legal curb chain clips, which screw closed, so cannot catch on anything.

The Weymouth bits are stocked in three sizes, others sizes can be ordered, please call.

CONFIDENCE WEYMOUTH

A wonderful bit for introducing horses to wearing a double bridle, and for horses who are backing off, or nervous in a double.

A slim curved bit which gives a gentle aid.

DEFINITION WEYMOUTH

This bit has a slim curved mouthpiece, but has a more defined shape in the centre.

This is for horses who have confidence in double bits and need a little more response and self carriage.

FINESSE WEYMOUTH

A Weymouth that has longer levers and a slim curved mouthpiece.

This bit helps lift, flex and lighten the more established horse, to help bring a more advanced way of going.

Bradoons and snaffles

Our stainless steel bradoons are also designed to be used as snaffles. We have two mouthpieces and both are available as looserings and eggbutts.

We normally recommend the bradoon is 1/4" wider than the Weymouth, looserings may need to be 1/2" bigger for horse with fleshy mouths.

HARMONY LOOSERING

The harmony mouthpiece is designed to be gentle and comfortable.

The mouthpiece is slim, curved and has a smooth central lozenge.

The loosering is ideal for use as a bradoon with a weymouth, it is a more mobile bit than the eggbutt, and does not encourage leaning.

HARMONY EGGBUTT

The same kind mouthpiece as the HARMONY LOOSERING, but a more stable bit, that will encourage a stiller more confident contact.

RESPONSE LOOSERING

A similar slim, curved mouthpiece, but with a central lozenge which encourages the horse to be a little lighter and more resonsive to the rider's aid.

A good combination with our Weymouths, if you would like a lighter feel than the HARMONY.

RESPONSE EGGBUTT
The same mouthpiece as the RESPONSE LOOSERING, but a more stable bit that helps with direction. Useful for horses with tender or fleshy lips.

This bit will give a quicker respose than the HARMONY, and will help maintain a lighter way of going.

Snaffles

The HARMONY and RESPONSE are both designed to be used as snaffles and bradoons.

The SYMMETRY is designed to be used as a snaffle, it is not suitable as a bradoon, as it is not jointed.

SYMMETRY EGGBUTT

A wonderful confidence giving bit, designed to encourage a happy still contact from horses who are not confident in their mouths.

A slim curved un-jointed mouthpiece, with eggbutt rings.

This bit should be purchased 1/4" smaller than a jointed bit

Curbchain

Our Weymouths don't come with a curb chain, as we find our customers often have several curbchains already.
