STALLIONS

In 2008 we have 4 stallions available to mare owners, joining DONNERSOH and UDO VAN PADHUIS are two fabulous new stallions

GLITTER OF GOLD xx 16.2hh 2000 palomino American Thoroughbred

CHESS M 16.1hh 2004 premium graded homozygous tobiano German Warmblood

In 2007 we had 100% fertility with Donnersohn and Udo, and with chilled semen we did not have a single mare return, all took on their first insemination.

TERMS

All nomination forms must be completed and returned to the stud with a copy of the mares breeding and markings diagram from her passport. An invoice will then be sent, and the stud fee is then payable.

All stud fees are fully payable before semen is shipped or a mare is covered

Mares who return a negative pregnancy test to the stud by 1st October 2008 will be eligable to use the stallion, should they wish, in 2009 for 50% of the stud fee.

Chilled semen - each shipment and collection of semen will be charged to the mare owner.
UK based stallions £25 per shipment (Saturday delivery extra)
German based (Chess M £75 per shipment (May be subject to change)

VISITING MARES - boarding mares will only be taken on special request, and will be limited in numbers.

All visiting mares must have a current EVA certificate and swab certificate, before they arrive at stud.

Vet package, all boarding mares will recieve routine breeding veterinary work for a set fee for the stud season of £250 per mare, payable to the vets 'Dyffryn Tywi Equine Clinic' when the mare arrives at stud.

Mares who visit the stud whilst in season and go home as soon as they have gone off will not be covered by the vet package, but will be charged by our vets for any veterinary work done.

KEEP FEES

Boarding mares will be charged as follows :-
mare stabled at night and at grass during the day £10 per day
mare and foal stables at night and at grass during the day £12 per day
mare at grass £5 per day
mare and foal at grass £7 per day
mares at grass that require hard feed will be charged accordingly
PONY mares under 13.2hh charged half the above fees.

Whilst every care is taken mares and foals visit the stud at their owners risk.

STUD FEES

CHESS M Chilled semen from Germany
E 800 to all mares that do not carry the tobiano gene (approx £640)
E 1,000 to hetrozygous tobiano coloured mares (approx £800)
Cantaro is not available to HOMOZYGOUS mares

GLITTER OF GOLD Chilled semen, and natural covering for TB mares
£400 to all mares, except
£600 for Trakehner, Anglo-Arab, Arabian
£800 for all single dilute* mares (including warmbloods) but not TBs
£1,000 for TB mares (not dilute)
Glitter of Gold is not available to dilute TBs, and any double dilute mares

*Single dilute mares are palominos, duns and smokey blacks, or greys that were born those colours.
Double dilutes are cremellos, perlinos and smokey creams, all of which resemble albino.
