Donnersohn's dam WITSUN was a successful Prix St George dressage horse and full sister to the successful International Grand Prix dressage stallion, LONGDEAN WESTMINSTER. She is by WELTMEYER the most popular state stud stallion in Hannover. Sire of Olympic dressage horses like WELTAS, WIE WELTMEYER, Isabel Werth' s senational WARUM NICHT and Young Riders European champion WEREPERLE S. He is also sire of a dynasty of champion stallions like WOLKENTANZ I & II, WELT HIT I,II,III,IV&V, WITTINGER, WHITE MAGIC, WHITE STAR, WOLKENSTEIN I,II,III, WELTRUHM, WALLSTREET etc, etc.

Donnersohn's grand dam is a State Premium multiple champion broodmare by the dressage team gold medallist GOLFSTROM, she is the dam of the licenced stallion and International Grand Prix horse Longdean Westminster.

Donnersohn started his showing career as Champion foal at the British Hanoverian show. As a three year old he was champion stallion at the Hanoverian grading. At four he was reserve champion 4 year old dressage horse at the National Dressage Championships and at 5 he was champion 5 year old and reserve supreme champion at the Badminton Young Dressage Horse Championships.

Despite covering a small number of mares each year he has sired superb stock including -

DONNERGOTT British 3 year old loose jumping champion, first reserve in the open novice at the National Dressage Championships as a 5 year old and qualified, first time out, for the summer regionals at medium level as a 6 year old, he is now winning at Prix St George.

DOUBLE TAKE, 2nd in his class at the Best of British foal show with 81.4% ,

DONNERVOGEL 2006 grey colt foal out of White Dove has won and been reserve champion Sport Horse, won riding horse breeding, and placed 2nd at the British Dressage Breeding Championships.

DAINSBURY was champion of his first 4 year old class at Limes Farm with 8.6 and 9 for potential in 2007

DONNERGROLLEN having been evaluated by European Judges as a stallion candidate, was then champion at his BEF evaluation, was in top 4 in UK, qualifying him for the BD Breeding Championships. In 2009 he qualified for the young Dressage Horse championships at Hartpury and was Scottish Novice Champion. In 2011 he was 3rd in the Novice Championships at the Winter Championships, was Shearwater Reserve Champion 6 year old at the fianls at Hartpury & won at medium level with over 70%.

DETECTIVE out of Private Eye by PASCAL won a BEF double 1st Premium was Champ for SJ and Res Ch for Dresage with 8.54 for both disciplines. in 2010 he won a Burghley Young Event Horse Qualifier, placed in an International Young Dressage Horse Qualifier and was 1st or 2nd in every dressage class he entered.

Donnersohn has excellent fertility, with a very high percentage of mares taking on their first season. His chilled semen is excellent and very successfull. He sires beautiful, elegant horses with fantastic movement, three very good paces, superb type and conformation, his colts in particular are invariably stallion models.

Donnersohn's beautiful black son was 2011 Shearwater 6 year old Reserve Champion, with superb marks for all three paces and for rideability. Owned by Jennifer Johnston & Janet Jones, and ridden and produced by Jennifer. Bred by Morgan Equine, he is out of our home bred mare Prussian Blue by Pascal.

Bred by Morgan Equine, out of our homebred mare PRIVATE EYE, he was a double BEF Champion, at 5yrs, he is wining BD Elementary dressage with 75%, winning BE Eventing, BSJA Show jumping, won a Burghley YoungEvent Horse qualifier, for the second year running, and placed 7th at the finals at Burghley.

This fantastic son of Donnersohn is now competing successfully at Prix St George and at eight years old he has half qualified for the Young Horse PSG Champs on his first attempt. He competed at the National Dressage Championships for three years in a row at 5, 6 & 7 years old. He has won Open Combined Training, and was also Scottish National Loose Jumping Champion as a 3 year old, beating all the imported Jumping stallions from Europe.
